2026 China (Shandong)-Malaysia trade expo at IOI City Mall on May 22-24
The 2026 China (Shandong)–Malaysia Brands Exhibition & Trade Fair is set to take place from May 22–24, 2026, at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, Malaysia.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Qilu Chamber of Commerce Unit (Malaysia) at Wisma MCA, Kuala Lumpur on May 7, 2026.
This major trade event, held under the guidance of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, China, is aimed at enhancing economic and trade ties between Malaysia and Shandong Province, and directly follows up on series of agreements reached during the visit of Lin Wu, secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, to Malaysia in September 2025.
The expo is organized by the Malaysia Shandong Qilu Chamber of Business and China-SCO Sci-Tech Innovation Cooperation Center (Malaysia), in collaboration with Shandong Lanhua Group and MCA-PRC Affairs & Belt Road Initiative (BRI) Committee as co-organisers.
Additionally, the event is backed by strategic partners such as Linyi Municipal Bureau of Commerce, The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Malaysia–China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), The Malaysia Islamic Chamber of Commerce and COSCO Shipping Lines (Malaysia), among others.
The expo will host about 100 leading enterprises from Shandong and 260 delegates to Malaysia, alongside Malaysian businesses, industry stakeholders and investors.
The showcase includes equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, new energy/materials, food and premium consumer goods.
The event creates growth opportunities for Malaysian specialty products to enter Shandong and the broader Chinese markets.
China and Malaysia have continued their robust, long-term economic and trade partnership into 2026, with China marking its 17th consecutive year as Malaysia’s largest trading partner.
Shandong, a major agricultural and industrial province in China, serves as a vital economic partner for Malaysia, contributing significantly to the broader China-Malaysia trade relationship.
The expo is open to the public with high turnout expectations, and attendees can look forward to a diverse showcase of products, cultural elements and interactive experiences.
As part of the event highlights, visitors have the chance to win prizes through a lucky draw and daily giveaways throughout the duration of the expo. The first 300 visitors each day will receive exclusive complimentary small gifts.
The China (Shandong)-Malaysia Brands Exhibition and Trade Fair 2026 aims to become a key benchmark for regional economic and trade cooperation between China and Malaysia, driving high-quality development under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and establishing a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
